The story behind Moms of Amazing Kids

    Why MAK Exists

It's easy to disappear into being someone's mom. Especially when that role comes with appointments, IEPs, insurance calls, and a to-do list that never actually ends.

We started MAK because we needed somewhere that didn't ask us to be anything other than tired, or hopeful, or both at once. Somewhere without judgment. Somewhere that didn't need us to explain ourselves before we could exhale.

Yes, we collect the resources. Providers, tools, letter templates, the stuff that's usually scattered across ten tabs and a Facebook search bar. We keep adding to it so nobody has to start from zero.

But that's not really why MAK exists.

MAK exists because it's easy to lose track of who you were before you had your amazing kid. And somewhere along the way, someone has to remind you that you're still in there. That's what the village is for.

Not to fix anything. To remember you.

If you're a MAK mom, you already know what that means. If you're new here, welcome. You're one now too.
